Welcome to my photo site. I am primarily a landscape photographer who enjoys traveling and hiking in the mountains of the world and chasing perfect light. My inspirations are the darkroom giants like Ansel Adams and 19th century romantics like Bierstadt. Both provide representations somewhere between the "reality" our brains have evolved to recognize and pure abstractions. I'm not interested in a clinical reproduction of what the sensor detects or what passes for reality. I'm trying to use the camera the way a painter might use their paints.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you find some pleasing images.
